Applications

Using the Ligno-Tec RH as thermo-hygrometer in wood production plants, during flooring installations, inspections and water damage repair, for all applications where relative humidity is an important factor influencing moisture in wood, building materials and the entire building envelope. Measures RH, Temp, DewT, GPP: relative humidity, temperature, dew point temperature, grains per pound.

The probe can be connected with a cable for remote readings or extended with the depth adapters DA to reach into small openings. Ambient conditions, especially if it is too moist or too dry affect wood and other materials in the building envelope. The two variables humidity and moisture are set into a relationship with each other in the EMC table, which shows values for stable conditions of wood moisture and relative humidity. The table can be used for materials other than wood, when the wood moisture equivalent is known.

If you are looking for a hi-accuracy Thermo- Hygrometer with a short response time, the Ligno-Tec should be your choice. The RH probe is detachable. For extended reach, the probe can be connected with a stereo cable up to 50ft long. The Ligno-Tec RH meter, reusable RH BluePeg Probes, sleeves and cable are designed to comply with latest ASTM F2170 standard for a simple and fail-proof concrete moisture testing procedure.

RH Measurement:  The Ligno-Tec RH has a 35mm stereo jack mounted in the top of the meter to connect the RH BluePeg probe to the Ligno-Tec RH. First plug the Adapter H into the connector at the top, then the RH BluePeg probe fits into the Adapter RH.

As soon as the connection is established, the Ligno-Tec RH automatically switches into RH mode. When the READ button is depressed, the meter immediately indicates the relative humidity. The up or down keys allow recalling the values for ambient Temperature, Dew Point Temperature and Grains Per Pound. The display indicates the measured values and the RH Probe number. The RH probe number is an individual number between 1-999 to allow keeping track of probe measurements and performance.

RH Adapters and Cables
The Adapter comes with 3.5mm stereo plugs (male) on both ends to connect Lignomat’s RH BluePeg Probe directly to the Ligno-DuoTec BW. A RH cable 6 ft for remote measurements is included with the package BW-B. The cable is used when the probe at the meter cannot reach the area or when the display cannot be seen, while measuring a tight spot. Upon request we make longer RH cables.

The distance from the top of the meter to the end of the probe is 2.25″ including the RH adapter. If that is too short to reach into heat ducts, walls, tight openings, and other small crevices, the shaft of the probe can be extended with the RH depth adapter.

Note: Off-the-shelf thermo-hygrometers usually come with an accuracy rating of  ±5% for relative humidity and  ±2°F for temperature.

Choose package BW-B with Ligno-DuoTec BW, if you are looking for a pinless – RH meter.
Choose package V-B with Ligno-VersaTec, if you are looking for a pin – pinless – RH meter.

Add sleeves and RH-CC cable for RH in-situ moisture testing of concrete slabs. System complies to ASTM F2170. Package RH-KS.
