RH Thermo-Hygro Probe

The precision, fast-acting RH Thermo-Hygro probe is the attachment needed to measure ambient relative humidity and temperature with RH meters from Lignomat:
— Ligno-Tec RH is a RH meter only

— Ligno-VersaTec pin, pinless and RH

Relative humidity: Measuring wood moisture and relative humidity are key to understanding moisture problems such as shrinking, warping, cupping of floors, etc. In the restoration industry and for building maintenance humidity levels have to be checked and should always be below the threshhold for mold development. Both applications are equally well covered with this precision RH sensor.

Lignomats RH meters indicate ambient relative humidity, temperature, dew point temperature, and grains per pound RH, T, DPT, GPP. The short RH adapter can be removed and a RH cable can be plugged in for remote measurements. Cables up to 50 ft long are available. Standard length supplied is 6ft.

Product Description

The RH Thermo-Hygro probe is needed to use the RH meters from Lignomat as thermo-hygrometers. The RH Thermo-Hygro probe consists of 2 parts, the fast-reacting, accurate relative humidity and temperature RH BluePeg probe and the RH adapter to connect to Lignomat’s RH meters.

The RH BluePeg probe by itself has a diameter of 1.5″, length is 1.35 inches. The bottom is open and slots for air circulation are on the side.

The RH Thermo-Hygro probe has a 3.5mm stereo plug which fits in the top of the RH meters. The 3.5mm stereo connection is simple, fast-to-connect and failproof. No pin arrangements have to be fitted, not on the RH meter and not on the RH Thermo-Hygro probe. As soon as the probe is connected, the meter automatically switches to the RH mode and indicates relative humidity, ambient temperature, dew point temperature and grains per pound.

The RH probe uses a single micro-chip as humidity and temperature sensor, factory calibrated to NIST standards. A NIST certificate can be found on this Web page in the document tab. During the first year we offer to check the accuracy of the probe calibration 3 times at no cost. This is helpful to the customers, who use the RH probes for in-situ concrete moisture testing, because ASTM F2170 regulations require a calibration check when the probes are being re-used.

RH meters indicate the measured values for RH, Temp, DewPT and GPP. Each RH probe has an individual probe number programmed on the micro-chip. The last 3 digits of this number are displayed on the RH meters.

The distance from the top of the meter to the end of the probe is 2.25″ including the RH adapter. If that is too short to reach into heat ducts, walls and other small crevices, the shaft of the probe can be extended with the RH depth adapter. For remote measurements the RH adapter can be replaced by the RH cable. The RH cable comes standard 6 ft long, upon request we make longer cables.
