Pins EC, EA, EV

EC, EA and EV pins are used in the electrode E14 and E16. The pins are sturdy to be hammered into hard materials. The short EV pins are used for measuring small pieces.

EC pins: 5/8″ (1.6cm) measuring depth, 3/32″ (2.5mm) diameter at base
EA pins: 7/16″ (1.1cm) measuring depth, 1/16″ (1.6mm) diameter at base
EV pins: 3/16″ (5mm) measuring depth, 3/64″ (1.3mm) diameter at base

  • Pins EG and EL teflon-coated, insulated.

Pins EC, EA, EV are made strong enough to be hammered into hard materials , concrete, brick, tile, etc. They are made out of hardened chrome-vanadium steel for easy penetration, maximum strength and low breakage.

When using non-insulated pins the meter indicates the highest moisture percentage within the area between the pins. If the core moisture is higher than the surface, the core moisture will be indicated.  If there is condensation on the surface, the meter will indicate the higher surface moisture. The short EV pins are used for measuring small pieces.
