Pins for Electrode E12

DZ, DA and DB pins are teflon-coated and give accurate measurements from the depth the pins have been driven to. As the pins are hammered deeper with the slide hammer electrode E12, consecutive measurements indicate if a moisture gradient exists. 

The pins are only used in the Electrode E12. They measure moisture distribution up to 2″ deep. Pins can be used for wood and soft building materials.

Product Description

All pins DZ, DA, DB for the Electrode E12 have insulated shanks and therefore measure only at the tip. As the pins are hammered towards the core, multiple readings show the moisture distribution within the material. Pinless meters cannot achieve the same measuring accuracy at a defined depth.

Pins are made out of hardened chrome-vanadium steel for easy penetration, maximum strength and low breakage.

Select length for required measuring depth. At least 1/3rd of the board thickness should be penetrated to reach the core section of the wood.
