E-H Extension Cable

E-H cables are used for PK-H and LP-H cables (4mm plugs) to either extend the length of the cable or to have an in-between connect-disconnect junction for easier cable handling. Used with Lignomat’s in-kiln monitors and kiln control systems or when monitoring buildings.

Wireless transmitters come with short cables and E-H cables allow for a larger distance between PK wood probe and transmitter.

E-H cables come in a standard length of 6ft (1.8m). As an option you can choose 3ft (0.9m), 12ft (3.6m).
Upon request we custom-cut shorter or longer cables.

Product Description

The E-H cables are used to elongate PK-H wood probe cables or LP-H cables (with loops). Another purpose for adding an E-H cable is to have an in-between connect-disconnect cable junction, which makes it easier to install and handle cables in a dry kiln with angle connectors and station plates. Adding an extension cable can be very helpful for monitoring areas which are only accessible at the time of installation.

Wireless transmitters come equipped with a standard 8 inch long cable connection to the PK wood probes, which can be extended with an E-H cable.

The E-H cables are made with the same teflon-insulated shielded cables as PK-H and LP-H cables. The cable withstands hot and humid conditions in a dry kiln. The cable is temperature-rated for over 240°F (115°C). In addition, the cable was selected for its ability to accurately transfer measured values from the PK wood probes inside a kiln to the moisture meter.

The E-H cable has two 4mm banana plugs on one end and two 4mm jacks (sockets) on the other end.
The 4mm banana plugs go into the Ligno-VersaTec, Lignometer K (Adapter H), angle connector or station plate. The other end with the jacks goes into the 4mm banana plugs from the PK-H or LP-H cable.
