Lignomat offers the mini-E16 cable to make the connection between electrode E16 and the mini-Lignos DX/C, S/DC and MD/C. Lignomat’s mini-E16 cables are made from high-quality teflon cable, selected for its ability to accurately transfer measured values from the electrode to the meter. The teflon cable consist of a twisted pair of wires, individually insulated with 4mm and 2mm banana plugs.
The 2mm banana plugs at one split end of the cable fit the inserts in the mini-Lignos DX/C, S/DC and MD/C. The 4mm banana plugs at the other split end of the cable fit through the holes in the poles of the electrode E16.
If you want to check the performance of the cable, connect the cable to the meter (2mm plugs) but not the electrode and push READ. The lowest possible value should appear on the meter, which means the cable does not add a measurable value even in the low measuring range. To check continuity of the cable, put the split ends in your hand (4mm plugs) and close your fist over the plugs without the plugs touching each other. Then, take a reading. The indicated value should be over 12%.
mini-E16 cable comes in a standard length of 3 ft (0.9m) or optionally 6ft (1.8m) long.
