Pin Moisture Meters for Restoration / Maintenance
Finding moisture problems in buildings can be a tricky task. Moisture hides behind structural components and travels wherever it finds a path. It is often impossible to detect the depth of water infiltration without adding attachments to your pin meter. Being able to measure deep into the building envelope ( we offer 7″ long EL pins) without removing structural components is the big advantage of using a pin moisture meter.
Another simple solution only available with pin meters is the use of extension cables to monitor hard to reach areas.
When selecting a pin meters consider measuring range and the ability to measure different materials accurately. The Ligno-VersaTec and Lignometer K are considered more advanced moisture meters with a wider moisture range and more corrections for different wood species and other materials . And, the Ligno-VersaTec is also a pinless and RH meter.
