Measuring Drywall with Pinless Meters

Pinless moisture meters quickly indicate high moisture levels in drywall. Select the Ligno-Scanner S or one of the dual-depth moisture meters with 1/4″ measuring depth to avoid measuring too deep including studs and other materials within the measuring field.

One disadvantage of pinless moisture meters is that they cannot measure in corners, around window frames and other non-flat surfaces. Pin meters make 2 holes, but with the electrode E14 they can reach 7″ deep, where moisture could be hiding.

The best option is the professional meter Ligno-VersaTec, a pin, pinless and RH moisture meter. The Ligno-VersaTec is for all moisture and humidity measuring tasks restoration and maintenance crews may encounter.
