Questions before you buy?
Why only ¼ inch deep?
Standard ¾-inch pinless meters can read too high on thin material lying on a solid surface, or too low with air underneath. The ¼-inch calibration gives accurate readings on products 5/8 inch or thinner.
Can it measure veneer?
Yes. It works on engineered products and veneers 1 mm thick and up. For thinner veneer, Lignomat recommends measuring a stack of a few sheets.
Does it need recalibration?
No. It checks its calibration before each measurement and adjusts automatically. An external calibration check block TS is available.
